NY State Police identify victims in fatal crash in Barton

The New York State Police have identified the victims in Friday’s fatal crash in Barton.

According to police, 68-year-old Gary Sinsabaugh of Athens was killed when his Chevy Silverado was struck head on by a Toyota Highlander driven by 42-year-old Bronx resident Janesa Lorenzo.

Lorenzo was transported to Robert Packer Hospital with serious injuries, but two of her passengers, 41-year-old Bronx resident Carlos M. Lorenzo and 38-year-old Sabrina M. Surita of Manahawkin, New Jersey were killed in the crash.

Another passenger, a 56-year-old Bronx resident, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the accident occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Friday on State Route 34 in Barton.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
