Four people were injured in a crash on Glenmary Drive in the Town of Tioga on Friday.
The Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Heather Hatounian of Owego was driving southbound on the road around 3pm when she drifted onto the shoulder, overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. It crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a car driven by 56-year-old Debra Vavra of Candor.
Hatounian was injured along with her two passengers, 17-year-old Nicole Arnold and 17-year-old Cheyenne Moss. The sheriff’s office says Arnold suffered a fractured pelvis. She was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where she is listed in stable condition.
Vavra sustained head and neck injuries.
Hatounian was ticketed with failure to keep right and having more than two passengers under the age of 21.
