Wednesday’s devastating news for the Southern Tier has caused one company to reconsider its future growth plans, but in a good way for the Southern Tier. Upstate Shredding has announced that it will build a new scrap processing plant in Owego instead of western Pennsylvania. The plant will be housed in a new 20 thousand square foot building that will be built on Recycle Drive. CEO Adam Weitsman says they hope to get the facility up and running by next spring.
