New York State Police responded to an armed robbery early this morning at McDonald’s in Owego. A 911-call around 1:20 a.m. dispatched troopers to 29 Hickories Park Rd. in the town of Owego, after it was reported the McDonald’s was robbed at gunpoint. The report stated an employee was leaving work when a man hiding behind a car forced her back inside the restaurant. According to emergency dispatch reports, all employees were kept in the freezer, except for the manager who was forced to get money. After the man received his money, he then put the manager in the freezer and is believed to have
ran off with an unknown amount of money. The man reportedly was carrying a handgun. New York State Police in Owego are on the lookout for a 5’6″ black man with a husky build.
