Boys Basketball: Robbie Black Scores in Final Seconds; Owego Wins 51 -49

The Owego boys basketball team won their Class A quarterfinal over Elmira Southside 51 – 49.
Senior Robbie Black scored the winning basket with 23 seconds left in the game.
OFA fell behind early 18 – 12, but came back with a 10 – 0 run to take a 22 – 18 lead in the second quarter.
The game was close for the remainder of the contest.
Stephen Yanchus was the high scorer for the Indians with 15 points.
Mark Merritt had 12 points despite frequent double coverage.
Black had 11 points overall.
Owego will play top seeded Maine-Endwell in a Class A semifinal game on Friday.
OFA now has a record of 9 win and 8 losses and are on a 4 wins and 1 loss streak.
