A house in the Village of Owego was heavily damaged by fire this afternoon. The call came in just after 1:30pm for reports of a working structure fire at 107 Liberty Street. Heavy flames were visible, and smoke could be seen throughout the village. Everyone inside the house, including the family dog, made it out safely. The main fire was knocked down quickly, and the heaviest fire damage appeared to be in the front of the house, which is in the middle of the cross street between Temple and Fox Streets. Several local departments were at the scene, including Owego Fire and Ambulance, Apalachin, Campville, and Tioga Center. The Tioga County Fire Investigation Team was called to the scene to investigate a cause.
