The Common Ground Food Program is a program designed to help feed children in need in the area throughout the summer. With many families depending on school meals to feed their children, the summer months can prove to be a trying time financially. The Common Ground program works to alleviate that stress, as they have partnered with the Owego-Apalachin School District to offer free meals for kids. Children can get their meals at the Common Ground building at the corner of Main and Armstrong streets in Owego. Breakfast is served every week day from 8:30 to 9:30 in the morning, with lunch served week days from 11:30 to 12:30. The program is available for any child from 18 months to 18 years old, regardless of where they live. For more information on the program you can call the Common Ground at 972-7054.
