The Kayaking For A Kure event registration deadline is Tuesday, August 1st. Organizers of the event were on the WEBO Morning Show Friday. The event raises money for local Cancer Fighter Jocelyn Kline and Traci’s Hope. It features a kayak ride on the Susquehanna River from the Apalachin Boat Launch to Hickories Park. The event will be held Saturday August 26th and launch is at 10 AM. Participants can drop their gear in Apalachin (equipment will be watched by event organizers), and drive to Hickories where a bus will return them to the launch site. Kayakers will travel west up the river to Hickories Park for a cookout, DJ, raffle drawings and prizes. The event is sponsored in part by WEBO. You can list to part of the interview here:
