Owego is hosting their fourth annual “Lights on the River” festival Friday.
The village’s special holiday lights will be turned on together at 6pm, once Santa flips the switch at the Tioga County Courthouse with WEBO’s Lew Sauerbrey.
Downtown shops and restaurants will stay open late for the festival, which will also offer musical entertainment and horse-drawn wagon rides. It will be capped off by a special fireworks display over the river at 8pm.

Lake Street will be closed for the festival, along with the portion of Front Street from Church to Court.
Parking will be available at Marvin Park. Shuttle buses will run from 5 to 9pm.
