Owego beat Chenango Forks 58-48 in Boy’s Basketball last night. Stephen Yanchus and Mark Merritt scored 45 of Owego’s 58 points on the Chenango Forks court. Dan Molter scored 21 points for Forks. Owego is now 6-and-6.
Also in Boys Basketball. Newfield defeated Candor 47 to 44. The Newfield Girls Basketball team defeated the Candor girls basketball team 38-to-20.
In high school wrestling, Chenango Forks beat Owego 63-to-22 at Owego. Hayden Bell of Owego earned his 100th career Varsity victory for Owego.
Also in wrestling, Tioga beat Newark Valley, 33-to-28 at Newark Valley.
