*WEBO Morning Show Interview with OA Superintendent Dr. Bill Russell on 12/22/2015*
Owego Elementary students will attend classes in the brand-new Owego Elementary School on Jan. 6. Owego-Apalachin CSD Superintendent Dr. Bill Russell was a special guest on the WEBO Morning Show on Tuesday, Dec. 22. The students have been attending different schools since the Flood of 2011. Several improvements can be seen when comparing the former elementary school with the new one. For instance, the new Owego Elementary features several upgraded security features, a raised foundation to prevent future flooding as well as a geothermal heating and cooling system. Owego Elementary students will be welcomed to the new school on the 6th with a parade, escorted by various police and fire vehicles. The Owego PTA has also made special shirts for each grade of students to commemorate the occasion.
