No Injuries in Campbell Water Rescue

A Campville man had to be rescued from his home Sunday evening when it became surrounded by water. The call came in around 7 PM. Water Rescue Team members from the Campville Fire Department responded to the Kinney Road home near the Susquehanna River. Emergency crews were on scene for about 90 minutes. There were no injuries.The Campville Fire Department was assisted by Apalachin FD.

Due to the low temperatures, ice jams have been forming throughout the area. In Campbell, Steuben County, an ice jam from the Cohocton River broke up and flooded the downtown area last Friday. In Chenango County a number of large ice jams caused concern, but no incidents were reported.
