In August, the Village of Owego was awarded a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant from New York State. The funds are intended to help Owego develop a strategic investment plan that will advance its vision for downtown revitalization. The local DRI Planning Committee has now issued an Open Call for potential DRI projects to be considered for funding. The Committee seeks to hear from members of the community who have potential projects. The process is intended to enable the Committee to fully vet private projects that could transform the downtown, in a uniform, open and transparent process.
For detailed information on the process to apply, please see the full announcement on the WEBO web site, www.myhometowntoday.com.
