As your Hometown Station News Radio WEBO first reported Thursday morning, state and Owego police executed a search warrant Thursday at Apartment 2F at 61 North Avenue in Owego.
Arrested was 49 year old Mark Moseman, who lived in the apartment, on two felony charges … possessing a sexual performance of a child less than 16 years old and promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years old, according to police.
These charges are related to digital child images that Moseman possessed and disseminated using the Internet, according to police documents.
The raid followed a joint investigation with the New York State Police Computer Crime Unit following after police got tips about the illegal activity. About a dozen state and Owego police were on the scene and carried out two cardboard boxes of likely evidence against Moseman.
State police said Moseman was arraigned in the Town of Owego Court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $15,000.00 cash bail or $30,000.00 property bond.
Two other people who live in the apartment were questioned and released once police determined they weren’t involved.
