An Owego man has pleaded guilty to nine felony charges related to child pornography.
James Galpin, 50, was already a registered sex offender after pleading guilty in 1991 to sexually abusing several minors.
A new investigation was launched in June of 2009 when Galpin was seen with minors coming and going from his home and routinely spending the night.
Police searched Galpin’s home and found several computers, digital cameras, digital storage devices and other materials.
They say he was paying teen boys to let him take sexually explicit pictures of them.
Galpin pleaded guilty Wednesday to production of child pornography, possession of child pornography and other charges.
He faces a minimum of 35 years in prison when he’s sentenced in July.
