Owego Police Chief Urges Vigilance Amid Recent Incidents

Owego Police Department would like to remind all citizens to please be vigilant to your property. Recently there have been reported Burglaries, Larcenies, Stolen Bikes, Trespassing and Vehicles Entered in the Village. We would like to remind everyone to lock your property so as to protect it and deter further crimes.

If you have had anything stolen or suspicious activity near or around your home in the past few weeks please report it.

We are investigating these offenses and would like community assistance. If you have a ring door bell system and or any type of surveillance systems, please review your footage. You may have a suspect on video walking past or through your property.

If you would like to notify our department that you have surveillance system(s) on your property it may help in the future so we can reach out to you as soon as we receive a report of a crime.
