The Village of Owego will again host the “Lights on the River” festival this year.
The fourth annual edition will be held this Friday from 5:30 to 8:30pm.
Downtown shops and restaurants will be open and children will have the chance to visit with Santa. Horse-drawn wagon rides and music will be just a few of the other features at this year’s festival, which also hopes to offer hot-air balloon rides if the weather permits.
The Tioga County Historical Society will open its annual “O’Tannenbaum” showcase, which includes more than 100 decorated Christmas trees and wreaths.
Owego Mayor Ed Arrington says over 1,000 people filled Church, Court, Lake and Front Streets for last year’s festival.
