Owego to Vote on Inflection Deal Monday

SHARE NOW

Owego trustees will meet Monday night to discuss an agreement to sell its treated water to a natural gas drilling company.
Denver-based Inflection Energy wants to sign an agreement with the village to purchase the treated water over the next 10 years. It could be worth up to $3.5 million per year for the village, according to Owego Mayor Ed Arrington.
He says the revenues could be used instead of taxes to lower sewer rates and replace aging sewer lines.
The village board meeting will begin at 7pm at the Hubbard Auditorium in the Tioga County Office Building at 56 Main Street in Owego.
The public is invited to attend and ask questions. Inflection Energy’s powerpoint presentation is available online at www.villageofowego.com.
