NYSEG plans to take a brief electric service interruption on Friday, March 18, 2011 starting at 10:00 AM.
The planned outage, which should last no longer than five minutes, is necessary to conduct a voltage conversion job along Talcott Street in Owego.
The areas affected will be from the Owego Free Academy High School and Owego Apalachin Middle School out to NY Rt. 96 and then north along NY Rt. 96 for one or two miles.
The streets affected will include Talcott Street, George Street, Hill Street, Adeline Street, Spruce Street, West Avenue, NY Rt. 96 from East Avenue to approximately ½ mile past the NY Rt. 38 intersection.
Also affected off NY Rt. 96 will be Dean Street and Carmichael Road.
March 18th was selected because the schools are not in session.
