Primary Elections were held for certain contested party nominations Tuesday. There were 7 races in Tioga County. The winners of each primary election will get the Republican party’s spot on Election Day this November 7th. There were no democratic primary races in the county. In Barton, the Republican nomination for Town Justice goes to Joseph Fravel. For Berkshire Highway Superintendent, George Hoffmier Jr.. will be on the ballot. William Strosahl Jr. gets the nod to run for Candor Town Supervisor. George Williams and Patricia Reichert will get to run for 2 seats on Candor Town Council. In Owego, the Town Supervisor Republican Party nomination goes to Don Castellucci Jr. Richford voters favored Steven Kotula and Kenneth Miller for the Town Council nomination.And finally, in Tioga County Republican Primary Results, for Richford Highway Superintendent, Michael Hunt gets the nomination.
