News Radio WEBO is saddened at the loss of loyal listener, good friend, and Southside Fire Chief Charles Klett.

Charles grew up on Owego’s Southside on the Klett family farm. Charles was also the owner of Northeast Implement in Spencer, NY. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Gina, daughter Miranda, parents Ruth and Dean, brother Dan, family, friends, firefighters and EMT’s.

Charles was part of the WEBO family, and we will miss him dearly.

Obituary of Charles Klett

Charles W. Klett, 44, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, September 19, 2014. Charles is survived by his wife, Gina Klett; daughter, Miranda Klett and her boyfriend, Zachary Beeman; parents, Dean and Ruth Klett; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Violeta; several nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friends, David and Theresa Radigan, his special four legged companion, Chiquitta. Charles graduated from Owego Free Academy, Class of 1988, graduated from form Cobleskill Agriculture Business College. Charles owned and operated Northeast Implement. He was very community minded. Charles was currently serving his third year as Chief of the Southside Fire Company, was an EMT, EMS Instructor, board member of the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce, and a graduate of Leadership Tioga. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 3917 Waverly Road, Owego with the Rev. Aaron Schian, officiating. Burial will follow in the Waits Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.
