A retired general will be in Owego Friday night and Saturday.
Army Lt. Gen. William Boykin will hold three sessions of a lecture, “America and the Greatest Threat of our Times” at 7pm Friday at the Owego Treadway and again at 10am and 7pm Saturday.
He will also participate in Saturday’s Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony at noon at the Tioga County Veterans Memorial.
The former commander of the Delta Force served in the administration of President George W. Bush. He received several awards and decorations for his service and now works as a professor at Hamden-Sydney College in Virginia.
Boykin’s visit was put together by the Abide in the Vine Church in Owego.
