The Apalachin Fire Department is on the scene of an accident on the Route 17 Eastbound Exit 66 off ramp, at the traffic light. Just after 7 o’clock this morning, a flat bed tractor-trailer reportedly rolled over onto its side. The truck was hauling containers full of grapes, which have to be cleaned from the roadway. The eastbound Apalachin exit is closed until the tractor trailer and the spilled cargo are removed.
Meanwhile, the Exit 64 Westbound on-ramp is closed this morning due to a completely different, but similar sounding accident Owego Firefighters responded to a late night tractor-trailer rollover accident last night.
