In the 1980s, the “Strawberry Festival Road Race” was a cyclist’s favorite annual cycling event, popular for its extremely beautiful and challenging route.
This year the race will be renewed on Sunday June 19th as part of the Strawberry Fest weekend.
Multiple competition categories are available at distances of 17, 34, and 51 miles.
Staging and Start will be located in Hickories Park.
The Road Race Course follows a hilly circuit through South Owego. Each lap is approximately 17 miles with 2000’ of climbing.
The finish for all classes is on Montrose Turnpike.
Registration is open until June 17th. Pre-registration fee is $15.00; juniors are $5.00
