Three Lockheed Martin programs in Owego have been given $1.2 billion in the United States budget approved last week. The programs include $445 million for a fleet of 23 helicopters in the new presidential helicopter program. A further $400 million will go to the MH-60 Romeo and Sierra program for the US Navy. The remaining $355 million will fund a US Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter. The Sikorsky division of Lockheed Martin will build the airframes, and Lockheed Martin Owego will provide the avionics and weapons systems.
