The Tioga County Historical Society has announced the receipt of a GoGrant in the sum of $650.
The grant will allow Rikki Springsteed, current President of the Historical Society’s Board of Directors, to attend a “Museums in Conversation” conference in Buffalo NY.
The conference will focus on aspects of collection management and provide other resources and information useful to small museums.
This grant is administered by Museumwise and will assist the museum’s board and staff in an upcoming museum assessment program focusing on collection stewardship.
The GO Grants are one of a series of grants offered to help museums and historical societies strengthen and develop their institution and work with their communities.
These grants are designed to make it easy for organization to access professional help and improve their institutions.
