Tioga County Rural Ministry (TCRM) operates a food pantry in Owego in an effort to serve the unmet needs of the poor, sick and elderly of the community. After encountering some households who had difficulty getting to the food pantry before it closed, due to their work schedules, TCRM has decided to extend its food pantry hours on a trial basis. On the last Tuesday of the month, for the months of August, September and October, the food pantry will be open from 4:00-6:00 pm. Anyone who is unable to pick up food during regular hours, is welcome to come at that time. After October, the ministry will evaluate whether they will continue with the extended hours.
TCRM is located around the corner from Home Central, off of Depot Street at Central Avenue in Owego. Regular pantry hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Call our office at 607-687-3021 for more information.
