Hundreds of people were on hand at Tioga Downs Friday to celebrate the birth of the new Tioga Downs Casino Resort. Several elected officials spoke along with casino owner Jeff Gural before they broke ground on the expansion that will turn the horse racing track and racino into a full-blown casino. Gural hopes to have it up and running by next summer. The expansion project will include a hotel and two restaurants. Tioga Downs is already hiring several hundred people, and are asking anyone interested in a job to fill out an application on their website. They will also hold a job fair on Friday.
