A pair of Owego men have been accused of making methamphetamine after Tioga County sheriff’s deputies found them in a parked vehicle in Newark Valley. The two were found around 1:30 Wednesday morning near the Trout Ponds in Newark Valley. That park is a dawn-to-dusk park. The driver of the vehicle, 28-year-old Cody Root, and his passenger, 31-year-old Thomas Zurzuski are both being charged with a felony count of third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. Both were arraigned in Newark Valley court and sent to the Tioga County jail. According to police, Zurzuski was held on $10,000 bail and Root was held without bail.
