Village of Owego residents will go to the polls today to vote on two propositions adopted by the Village Board in June. The first proposal would abolish the Village Justice Court and transfer their responsibilities to the Town of Owego. The second proposal would make the Clerk/Treasurer post an appointed position rather than an elected role to be appointed by the Mayor with the Village Board’s approval. Polls are open from noon to 9PM at the Fire House on North Avenue.
