Roadwork is scheduled to take place on Interstate 86 in Owego and Apalachin starting on April 1.
A portion of the eastbound side of Interstate 86 from Exit 65 to the Broome County line will be closed. Traffic in both directions will be reduced to one lane during the project.
Exit 66 on the eastbound side of 86 will also be closed starting on April 1.
Crews will begin placing concrete barriers on the westbound lanes as early as today. Those will be used to separate eastbound and westbound traffic starting on April 1.
The latest closure is part of a two-year, $57 million highway improvement project, which is expected to be completed by the end of November.
