Sample News Group, which owns several local newspapers, has acquired the assets of the Cortland Standard Printing Company through bankruptcy court.
The newspaper company will start printing editions of the Cortland Standard on Saturday, May 17. It will return to its prior publication schedule of Tuesday through Saturday going forward.
The Cortland Standard abruptly shut down on March 13th as a result of their bankruptcy filing.
Sample News Group operates over 75 newspapers across four states, including the Morning Times in Sayre, The Daily Review in Towanda and the Owego Pennysaver.
