Martha Sauerbrey was re-elected as Chair of the Tioga County Legislature for 2025 at an organizational meeting last week.
This will mark the 12th year that Sauerbrey has served as Legislative Chair, and it will be her 20th year serving in the Tioga County Legislature.
Sauerbrey has announced this year will be her last in the Legislature as she plans on retiring at the end of 2025 legislative session.
Also at the organizational meeting, Tracy Monell was re-elected to the position of Deputy Chair of the Legislature, and newly-elected Legislator Ray Bunce was sworn in to represent District 6, which covers part of the Town of Barton and Spencer.
