A car dealership that has been serving Owego and the surrounding communities for more than 40 years has been sold.
The Scoville-Meno family of dealerships has announced the sale of their property on 17C/Fifth Avenue in Owego to Carstar Collision.
The GMC and pre-owned sales and service operations from the Owego dealership will be merged with Scoville-Meno Chevrolet-GMC in Bainbridge.
Stephen Scoville, the founder and CEO of the family of dealerships, has announced he is stepping away from his day-to-day responsibilities.
The car dealership had been open in Owego since 1981 before closing its doors this week.
Scoville-Meno will still have locations in Sidney, Oneonta and Bainbridge under the leadership of President and Partner Jake Scoville.
