During the early morning hours on June 4, Tioga County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a warrant check at a home on Sawyer Road in the Town of Owego after receiving information that a wanted subject may be present there. While checking the residence, deputies were able to locate and arrest 42-year-old Samantha M. McKibbin on an active felony arrest warrant for violating conditions of probation for an attempted Arson 3rd degree conviction.
Also, while inside the residence, deputies observed a quantity of suspected narcotics in plain view. The Criminal Investigations Division was contacted and obtained a search warrant for the residence. The search warrant was executed on the property and yielded the following:
- Approximately 4.96 ounces of methamphetamine.
- $551 in U.S. Currency along with packaging materials and scales.
- A firearm consisting of a “sawed off” 20-gauge shotgun.
McKibbin along with another resident of the Sawyer Road home, 47-year-old Dan Perry, were charged with the following:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree: Methamphetamine, A(II) Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree: Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell, B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree: Previous Felony Conviction, D Felony
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree: Drug Packaging, A Misdemeanor
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree: Scales, A Misdemeanor
McKibbin was arraigned in Tioga County C.A.P. Court before Justice Michelle Bogart and committed to the Tioga County Jail with no bail.
On June 11, Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Dan Perry. On June 24, Perry was located and arrested on the warrant by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office in the City of Binghamton and later arraigned in the Tioga County C.A.P. Court in front of Justice John Schaffer. Perry was committed to the Tioga County Jail with no bail.
Also, on June 11, Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Kassandra M. Jordan, 35 years old of Ithaca, in connection with the search warrant. On July 2, Jordan turned herself in to the Public Safety Building and was charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree: Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell, B Felony.
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree: Drug Packaging, A Misdemeanor
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree: Scales, A Misdemeanor
Jordan was arraigned in Tioga County C.A.P. Court and released on her own recognizance to appear in the Town of Owego Court on July 9.
