The Shady Strong BBQ Competition and Music Festival is set for this weekend in Newark Valley.
The annual event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Bement Billings Homestead on Route 38 in Newark Valley.
Live music and the BBQ competition will begin at noon.
There will also be raffles, a kid zone, family activities and local vendors.
The cost is $10 for adults with children 12 and under free.
