Diane Palfreyman, the sister of Darlene Allen whose two children died in that unfathomable crash on Sunday night on Route 17, is “very weak” as she remains hospitalized at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Palfreyman described her sister’s condition in a post to a Facebook page created to raise money for Darlene Allen:

Palfreyman described her sister as “the most caring and loving mom.”
Zachary, 7 years old, and Trinity, 11 years olf, were killed as a result of the crash, involving a deer and a tractor trailer, Sunday night on Route 17 near the Waverly-Sayre exit. Zachary died at the scene. Trinity died at a Syracuse hospital. Zachary attended Owego Elementary School and Trinity was a student at the Owego-Apalachin Middle School.
