The film will be having a public viewing in Spencer next Wednesday, April 10th, and another viewing will be held in Endicott next Friday, April 12th. The documentary was made by Utica native Lech Kowalski, who currently works and lives in Paris, France.
The film tells the story of a group of Polish farmers who tried to protect their land from shale-gas drilling. The viewing in Spencer will be held at the Spencer Town Hall and is sponsored by Residents Against Fracking Tioga and the Coalition to Protect New York. The Endicott viewing will take place at the United Methodist Church on McKinley Avenue.
Both events are free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted at the viewings.
