Tioga Downs in Nichols is set to hold the first-ever World Chicken Spiedie-Eating Competition. Next weekend Tioga Downs will host the 10-minute, all-you-can-eat contest with competitive eaters, including World Champion Joey Chestnut.
The competition will be sanctioned by Major League Eating with many of the contestants from the July 4th Hot Dog Eating Championship in Coney Island coming to partake in the spiedie contest.
The Hot Dog Eating Championship was won by Joey Chestnut for the eighth consecutive year. Competitors will be vying for a purse that totals $5,000. The competition will be held on Saturday, July 26th, at 7 PM, trackside at Tioga Downs.
