The Strawberry Festival Rock and Run 5K run/walk is set for Thursday, June 13.
The 5K serves as a kickoff for the 42nd annual Strawberry Festival ,which will be held on June 14 and 15 in downtown Owego.
The kickoff event will begin with music at 5 p.m., followed by a free kids fun run at 5:15 for kids 12-and-under, and the 5K at 6.
The live music will run from 5 to 9 p.m. with two bands, the Highway Fruit Market and the Dean Goble Band. There will also be food and ice cream trucks on hand.
