The second degree murder trial of former Tioga County businessman Cal Harris enters its third calendar week today in Scholarie County Court..

The prosecution is expected to continue with testimony from expert witnesses.

State police investigator Steven Anderson was on the stand when the trial recessed Friday for the weekend.

Anderson collected evidence from the Harris residence in the Town of Spencer after Michele Harris was reported missing in September 2001.

New York Supreme Court Judge Richard Mott will render a verdict after Harris opted to forego a trial by jury.

Harris was found guilty at two trials in Tioga County Court, both overturned, and a mistrial was declared last year in Scholarie County.

Neither a body nor a weapon in Michele Harris’ death have ever been discovered.
