The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special Centennial Gala Celebration at Tioga Downs Casino & Resort on Saturday, February 16 at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
The celebratory event features a full course dinner including a complimentary champagne toast, a historical look into the past, as well as entertainment and dancing. Tickets for the black-tie optional event are $55.00 and can be purchased at www.tiogachamber.com or by calling 607-687-2020. For overnight guests, a special room rate is available. Originally incorporated June 4, 1919 as the Owego Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber Centennial Gala will be a commemoration of its accomplishments, members, and supporters. As a member or supporter of the Tioga Chamber, you are also invited to participate by sponsoring our signature event. The Tioga Chamber of Commerce is a local organization of businesses seeking to further collective business interests while improving our community. We are a member-led civic and economic advancement organization governed by an elected board of directors. Monthly meetings and other special events provide business-to-business networking, visibility, and resources for Tioga County business leaders. Our mission is to be a catalyst in the support and promotion of the commercial and civic well-being of Tioga County.
As part of the Gala, we would like to recreate a centennial timeline. Unfortunately, much of our historical documentation has been lost or damaged. In order to showcase how we have worked toward our mission during the last 100 years, we ask for your assistance in compiling any Chamber information or detail that business or community members are willing to share.
