Tioga County Deputies Arrest Three on Various Charges

James A. Baker, age 47, of 714 Casterline Road, Owego, was arrested on 05/31/2019 at 7:08 PM for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts) and Tampering with Physical Evidence (1 count). These charges resulted from an investigation of an incident that occurred in the Town of Owego. Baker was arraigned before Justice Patrick Hogan, Town of Owego Court, and remanded to the Tioga County jail without bail or bond. Baker is scheduled to reappear before Justice Hogan at a later date.


2. Eric F. Williams, age 21 of Owego, was arrested on 06/09/2019 at 7:30 PM for Assault and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. These charges resulted from a disturbance that occurred in the Town of Owego. Williams was arraigned before Justice John Schaffer, Town of Newark Valley Court, and remanded to the Tioga County jail on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. Williams is scheduled to appear before Justice Patrick Hogan, Town of Owego Court, at a later date.


3. Jodie M. Craft, age 32, of 3 Elm St., Newark Valley, was arrested on 06/10/2019 at 7:20 PM for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. This charge resulted from a vehicle stop on State Route 38 in the Town of Newark Valley where Craft was found to be in possession of heroin. Craft was arraigned before Justice John Schaffer, Town of Newark Valley Court, and released on her own.
