Several Tioga County officials were sworn into office yesterday morning. Incoming County Clerk Andrea Klett was sworn in, as well as several new County Legislators, including District 1 Legislator Richard Huttleston, and District 4 Legislator Loretta Sullivan. Returning District 2 Legislator and Chairwoman Martha Sauerbrey was also sworn in and appointed chairperson for 2016.
While most of the newly elected legislature was sworn in yesterday, there is still a vacancy to be filled for District 5, after the late Raymond Case died following his reelection to an additional term. The Tioga County Legislature is still accepting letters of interest and resumes from those who reside within District 5 and are interested in filling the role. Letters of interest will be accepted through January 15th at 3PM.
