The Tioga County Prom 5K will take place on Sunday, April 7 in Owego.
The race will be held at Owego Free Academy and will raise money for senior classes in selected school districts in Tioga County. If a school district has 50 runners in attendance they will receive $500. If they get 100 people to participate, they will receive $1,000.
All money made from the basket raffles will also be split between local school districts.
They will be accepting gently-worn, used prom dresses and formal wear at the event. These will be available free of charge to any student after the event.
