OWEGO — The Tioga County Board of Elections is reminding voters for the 2023 General Election that they can vote early. For nine days starting October 28th, any registered voter residing in Tioga County may vote at the Tioga County Early Voting Center during designated voting times.
Why vote early? Early Voting provides the ability to vote for people who may be unable to make it to the polls on Election Day, November 7th, and who do not wish to vote by absentee or missed the mail-in absentee application deadline (Oct. 23). However, you do not require a reason to vote early.
If you cast a ballot during Early Voting, you will not be allowed to vote on Election Day.
Tioga County will have one Early Voting Center open for Early Voting, which will be located at the Tioga County Board of Elections, 1062 State Route 38, Owego, NY 13827.
The Tioga County Early Voting Center will be open before the November7thGeneral Election during the following times:
Saturday, October 28th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday, October 29th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Monday, October 30th Noon – 8:00 PM
Tuesday, October 31st 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday, November 1st Noon – 8:00 PM
Thursday, November 2nd 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday, November 3rd 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday, November 4th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday, November 5th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
