Tioga County Rural Ministries’ “Soap For Hope” has received record-setting donations during its recent May campaign to collect items not covered by assistance programs. TCRM, 143 North Ave., Owego, announced in a news release that 5,079 personal-care and household cleaning items were donated by residents, churches, nonprofit organizations and others in the community.
Sister Mary O’Brien, CSJ, executive director offered thanks to the community for its outstanding support. “We and the people whom we serve at our pantry are ever so grateful. These supplies will help us meet the need for at least several months. Thank you for your compassion, your generosity and your care for your neighbor in need,” she said.
