A Nichols man has been arrested by the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office for felony counts of possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, bail jumping in the second degree and aggravated criminal contempt as well as several misdemeanors.
According to police, 33-year-old Wayne Floyd was arrested after the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police acted on five separate warrants on May 30th.
Floyd was remanded to the Tioga County Jail without bail. He will return to court on June 27th.

On 05/30/2024 the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wayne Floyd, age 33, of the Town of Nichols, for:
- A Bench Warrant issued by County Court for one count of Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a Felony, which he was arraigned on before Judge Schumacher on 5/31/24 and remanded to the Tioga County Jail, without bail, pending a future court date.
- An Arrest Warrant issued by County Court for one count of Bail Jumping in the Second Degree, a Felony, which he was arraigned on in CAP before Justice Schaffer, and remanded to the Tioga County Jail on a $30,000/$60,000 Bail/Bond, with a return date to the Town of Nichols Court with Justice Grinage on 06/27/2024.
- A Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Nichols Court for one count of Assault in the Third Degree, a Misdemeanor, and one count of Bail Jumping in the Third Degree, a Misdemeanor, which he was arraigned on in CAP before Justice Schaffer, and released on his own recognizance with a return date to the Town of Nichols Court with Justice Lute on 06/27/2024.
