Tioga County has announced it will rescind the burn ban which had been in place since Oct. 31.
The burn ban was put in place due to lack of rainfall which caused extremely dry conditions and posed a public safety hazard due to the potential of out-of-control fires.
The burn ban will be rescinded on Friday, Nov. 29.
