Tioga County Veterans’ Service Agency and Tioga County recognize September as “Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.”
Join us at the unveiling of our exhibit, “Field of the Forgotten Fallen,” on Tuesday, September 1, at 10:00am on the lawn of the Tioga County Office Building at 56 Main Street in Owego. This exhibit is designed to raise awareness about the issue of veterans’ suicide.
The exhibit continues through the entire month to bring attention to the national tragedy that is veterans’ suicide. 22 veterans a day complete suicide, that’s 154 per week, 660 per month and 8,000 per year.
